The 2000 Show Postcard
For a graphic design project, I was challenged to create a postcard design for The 2000 Show using only text. The 2000 Show is an art show at SLU that showcases the artwork from students in 2000 level art classes.
To create the front, I disassembled a font and used the different pieces to recreate the original form. This created a mosaic look by combining the colors. Then, the opacity was lowered to let the details of the reception to shine through.
On the backside, I learned how to design following mailing regulations. Did you know that only a certain amount of gray is allowed? If not, you do now. One of the biggest challenges was creating a fun design on the back while following the regulations.
